Become a Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainer, Certified Pillar 3 Expert Trainer (SOLV2A-ACT / CP3ET-S2)

In order to become a SOLV2A-ACT / CP3ET-S2 you need to:

1. Have the Required Experience

You must have a minimum of three (3) years cumulative paid full-time work experience in risk management, compliance, audit or a related domain in insurance or reinsurance firms.

You may receive a one year experience waiver with a four-year college degree, or regional equivalent, thus requiring two (2) years of direct full-time professional work experience in risk management, compliance, audit or a related domain.

2. Become a Lifetime Member of the Association and pass the CP3E-S2 exam.

3. Subscribe to the Code of Ethics.

The Code of Ethics for Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers sets forth the principles that underlie their conduct. It consists of a Preamble and 6 Canons.

Preamble

The Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers recognize that such certification is a privilege that must be both earned and maintained.

The Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers, who intentionally or knowingly violate any provision of this Code of Ethics, may be subject to action by the Association, which may result in the revocation of their certified status.

Strict adherence to this Code of Ethics is a condition of certification.

Canons

  • A. Advance and protect the profession of risk management and compliance management.
  • B. Provide diligent and competent services to your employer, your colleagues and to all other risk and compliance management professionals.
  • C. Act honorably and stand firm for what is honorable.
  • D. Strive to maintain the highest levels of competence in your work.
  • E. Recognize the limitations of your expertise and undertake only those tasks for which you are qualified by education, training, or experience.
  • F. Recognize the need for ongoing training in order to remain professionally competent.

4. Send an email to Lyn Spooner

The title of your email must be the following: Application to Become a Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainer.

Please attach your CV (we prefer Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat format). Be specific about your work experience, educational background and skills. Write a few words about your plans for the future. Why do you want to become a Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainer?

You must also write that you subscribe to the Code of Ethics for the Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers.

We reserve the right to reject applications that are incomplete. Applicants that do not have the necessary knowledge or experience will not be accepted as Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers, and they will receive their money back, if they have purchased a program or lifetime membership in order to become Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainers. We reserve the right to ask for more information or evidence about degrees, certificates etc.

We reserve the right to reject any applications that contain language or material that we consider offensive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.

By submitting your application you are declaring that the information you have provided is accurate and correct.

All submitted information is confidential and will never be disclosed without your approval.

Three to five days after we receive your email, we will contact you.

If you meet the above requirements (you are a CP3E-S2, you are a lifetime member, you have sent your CV and we have decided that you have what it takes to become a good trainer, you have subscribed to the Code of Ethics for Authorized Certified Trainers), we will send you an email informing you that you have been accepted as a Solvency II Association Authorized Certified Trainer, Certified Pillar 3 Expert Trainer (SOLV2A-ACT / CP3ET-S2).

You will receive your SOLV2A-ACT / CP3ET-S2 printed and stamped certificate at your office or home address after 3 months. We will update your dedicated webpages after 3 months too.

5. Maintain the Certificate

Recertification is required every two years.

You must sit for the CP3E-S2 exam again, to provide evidence that they stay current. All lifetime members have a 50% discount for the CP3E-S2 exam, so the all-inclusive cost for recertification is $148 every two years.
